Confident kids,
built through play.
Kaizen Kids Bali is where movement meets mindset. A kids’ gym in Canggu founded by Coach Liz — strength, resilience and real confidence, taught through classes, camps and private sessions.
Two pillars, one kaizen mindset.
Kaizen is the Japanese idea of getting a little better every day. Every class trains the body and the mind together.
Movement
Real strength, the right way: how to push and pull, safely pick up and carry, lunge and hinge. Kettlebells and dumbbells, bar hangs for grip strength, rope climbs, obstacle courses — and animal-movement games kids love.
Mindset
Every class opens with our mantra — I am strong, I am brave, I can do hard things. Kids learn to handle a mistake, manage stress, speak up for themselves, and keep going when something is hard.
🌴 And sometimes, an adventure
Now and then Coach Liz takes the kids further afield — picking vegetables and cooking a meal together, making kites with local kids and flying them on the beach. Real days out that build curiosity and connection.

Hi, I’m Coach Liz.
I’m Liz — Coach Liz. I’m Portuguese-Canadian, originally from Toronto. I hold a Master’s in Teaching and a degree in Psychology, and I spent 14 years as a primary-school teacher — including as a Social-Emotional Support Teacher at Canggu Community School — before creating Kaizen Kids. I’ve worked with children for over 20 years.
Kaizen means continuous improvement: helping children become 1% better every day — not by being perfect, but by learning to try, reflect, grow and believe in themselves. My coaching blends movement, mindset, connection and play, so children build confidence, resilience and emotional awareness while feeling safe, seen and excited.
What a class looks like.
Mantra, warm-up, then the workout. Physical challenge and a mindset lesson, woven together — and always fun.
The mantra
We start every class the same way: I am strong, I am brave, I can do hard things. It sets the tone before a single rep.
Warm-up game
A game to get bodies moving and smiles going — the on-ramp into the work, never a chore.
The workout
The best part. Pushing, pulling, carrying, lunging, hinging — the foundational moves every child should own, taught safely with real (kid-sized) weights.
Grip & hang
Lots of hanging on bars and climbing ropes — grip strength is linked to lifelong health, and kids love showing off.
Obstacle & agility
Little obstacle courses and agility challenges that build coordination and core strength while feeling like play.
Animal movements
If there's time, we move like lizards and bears. It's silly, it's hard, and it's a favourite.
