Ages are a guide. Liz can help you choose the group that suits your child’s readiness and experience.
What children practise
Physical literacy includes the skills, confidence and motivation to enjoy being active. Running, jumping, balancing, throwing, catching and climbing give children a foundation they can use in sport and everyday play.
Move in different directions
Bear crawls, crab walks and changing-direction games give children practice coordinating their bodies and supporting their weight.
Hang and climb
Children practise grip, body control and confidence as they learn to support themselves.
Obstacle challenges
Balancing, stepping and climbing invite children to plan a route, adjust their movements and try again.
A typical class
Every class follows the same format: our mantra, a warm-up, practise the skills and then the workout. Physical challenge and a mindset lesson, interwoven and always, always fun. Routine builds confidence, and confidence helps build everything else.
The mantra
We start every class the same way: I am strong, I am brave, I can do hard things. It sets the tone before a single rep.
Warm-up Game
A game to get bodies moving and smiles going — it’s how we connect and prime our bodies for what’s to come.
The Workout
The best part. Pushing, pulling, carrying, lunging, squatting and hinging — the foundational moves every child should master, taught safely starting with bodyweight and then real (kid-sized) weights.
Safe progression
Children first learn how to move with control. Technique, body awareness and confidence come before adding load. Activities and resistance are adapted to each child’s readiness and experience.
